Arizona State University
Antisemitic Professor
LILA SHARIF

Lila Sharif is a new faculty member in the School of Social Transformation at Arizona State University.
Lila Sharif [Lila Adib Sharif] has a long history of spreading antisemitic hate and conspiracy theories, promoting incitement and expressing support for terrorists. She has also celebrated intifada, and demonized Israel in her classrooms.
On October 19, 2017, Sharif shared a Facebook post from Electronic Intifada (EI) supporting Khalida Jarrar.

Khalida Jarrar is a senior PFLP member who has been in Israeli prison multiple times. In 2019, she was one of 50 PFLP operatives arrested, following a deadly 2018 bombing attack that targeted an Israeli family on vacation.

On August 11, 2017, Sharif shared a Facebook post about a farewell event for Rasmea Odeh and wrote: “Excited to attend this event tomorrow in Chicago. Join me!”

Odeh was a key military operative with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist organization. In 1969, she masterminded a PFLP supermarket bombing that killed two college students.
Sharif was affiliated [00:03:27] with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (SJP UIUC). Sharif was a featured speaker at the SJP’s annual “Palestine 101” seminars in between 2016 and 2020 while she was a professor at UIUC.
Students for Justice in Palestine have notoriously hosted anti-Israel activists who celebrate violence. Activist Omar Zahzah reportedly led National SJP attendees in chanting [03:01], in Arabic, “With our bodies and our blood, we will free Palestine.”
SJP activists have reportedly assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Arizona State University’s failure to confront antisemitism is shameful, and administrators must hold these individuals accountable and apply standard policies to prevent this hatred from continuing to thrive on campus.
